Cardiovascular Imaging Core Laboratory (CICL)
Today's clinical trials may include one or more novel imaging strategies as a surrogate marker to evaluate cardiac benefit or harm of a given medication or mechanical intervention.
The CICL is an interdisciplinary core lab which is a leader in the field of cardiovascular imaging analysis with special expertise in multimodality image analysis and has provided analysis for trials enrolling from 40 to 4000 subjects.
Evaluations may include but are not limited to chamber quantification, function, and remodeling, as well as valvular integrity.
Our Core Lab has experience in managing any combination within a single trial, including:

  • Cardiac Ultrasound (Echo)
  • Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)
  • Multi Gated Acquisition Scan (MUGA)
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Senior registered/registry eligible sonographers do quantitative measurements using a consistent set of definitions for analysis
  • Imaging protocols developed and customized for each trial
  • Dedicated equipment and network consisting of electronic image analysis tools and digital image archiving
  • Education
