Angiography
The C5Research Angiography Core Laboratory provides an unbiased interpretation of the results of pharmaceutical or mechanical intervention in coronary artery disease, as recorded cineangiographically. The extensively trained technologists specialize in the analysis of cine angiograms as recorded on DICOM formatted media.

We develop and customize catheterization and other procedure imaging protocols for each project. These protocols instruct the collaborating centers on the minimum catheterization requirements for patients in the trial. Protocol adherence and angiographic quality is evaluated starting with the first protocol patient.

The Angio Core Lab can also provide extensive training for sponsor and CRO/ARO Project Team Members, Research Coordinators and Principal Investigators. This training uses handout materials, slide presentations and video examples of research level angiography.

We provide analysis for clinical trials investigating:
  • Thrombolytic therapies
  • Percutaneous Intervention (PCI)
  • New coronary devices
  • Progression / Regression
  • LV function
Angiographic assessments include:
  • Quantitative Coronary Angiography (QCA)
  • Quantitative Vascular Angiography (QVA)
  • TIMI grade
  • TIMI frame count (cTFC)
  • Myocardial Perfusion / blush (TMP)
  • AHA/ACC lesion morphology assessments
  • Left-ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)
