The
C5Research Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) Core Laboratory provides an unbiased interpretation of the results of pharmaceutical or mechanical intervention in coronary artery disease and cardiac transplant studies, as recorded ultrasonographically.
The IVUS Core Lab has experienced, fulltime research technologists who use a consistent set of analysis definitions and undergo extensive training in order to perform quantitative intravascular ultrasound assessments. All these factors make us uniquely qualified to analyze IVUS endpoints in multicenter clinical trials.
We develop and customize catheterization and other procedure imaging protocols for each project. These protocols instruct the collaborating centers on the minimum catheterization requirements for patients in the trial. Protocol adherence and angiographic quality is evaluated starting with the first protocol patient.
We provide analysis for clinical trials investigating:
- Atheroma Progression/RegressionPercutaneous Int
- Percutaneous Intervention (PCI)
- Transplant Vasculopathy
The IVUS Core Lab also provides extensive training for sponsor project team members, CRO/ARO project team members, Research Coordinators and Principal Investigators. This training uses handout material, slide presentations and video examples of research level intravascular ultrasound.
